Dear Community, In order for us to elect the future Permanent RAC and manage to Activate the DAO afterwards, the Transition RAC is opening a 2 week period - _starting today and ending on Oct 30th_ - for Candidates for the Permanent RAC to present themselves to Community and claim their willingness and desire to be elected for the role. As you know from the ratified Charter and Governance Framework, the election process takes sometime and it’s very important we can elect a full Permanent RAC in a simple election cycle if possible. We have then decided that we should open this period of candidacy in order to collect 12 or more candidates to be in the election rooster, as to maximize our chances of having enough elected persons and enough replacement candidates should they be needed. The Permanent RAC requires at least 5 members and from our experience on the pre-DAO RAC and the current Transition RAC, it’s best if if its at least a 7 person solution if possible. Therefore, we urge everyone that previously manifested the interested and anyone new that hasn’t done so far, to either formally confirm or present their candidacy now, under this process. He hope many of you will. **Rules, for becoming an accepted candidate:** 1 - Having a TG account that is available and is going to be used as your identification for this purpose - _the TRAC will reach out and check it, by establishing contact with you directly at this contact._ This requirement is mandatory to be publicly known and available. 2 - Creating and posting a new topic in RadixTalk to present yourselves to Community and use as a basis for discussing your candidacy. This requirement is also mandatory to be publicly known and available. 3 - Having a working email address that you want to use for this purpose - _the TRAC will reach out and check it, by establishing contact with you directly at this contact._ This requirement is mandatory but does not need to be publicly disclosed, only to TRAC, if the candidate whishes to keep it private; it does need to be known to TRAC. That’s it, nothing more for this phase is needed. The best and simplest way for any candidate to let us know the mandatory required information is to reply to this post, indicating the TG account and a link to the RT topic.
