A simple proposal

To take on, with only a hunch of what this entails, the function and tasks administered by Andrew at the radix foundation as it transitions into the MIDAO.

I make no claim to being qualified for the undertaking being largely ignorant of what is required and only make this proposal on the basis that Andrew is (I believe) a professional company secretary and that I have been a professional accountant and that these roles are not too dissimilar.

In other words I believe that I could probably do everything Andy does - without knowing what it is he actually does

This will be a 3 month contract for 3 million xrd with expenses paid, for example for me to travel to meet Andrew as part of an orderly transition.

This will NOT be an 8 hour/day, 5 days per week contract, because, although i no longer have work commitments i DO have travel commitments as set out below.

However, I will address any issue on the day that it is raised/communicated to me and on occasion you might get 8 hours/day 5 days per week out of me.

I make this proposal without actually wanting the role because I have the time and the resources to offer and I’m a believer.

I think this is a fair proposal. I’d also like to put myself forward as someone who is willing to help.

I don’t come from a crypto governance or DAO background, so I won’t pretend to have years of experience in that area. What I do bring is more than 10 years of running my own construction business, managing employees, making decisions under pressure, solving practical problems and taking responsibility when things need to get done.

I’m someone who prefers action over endless discussion. I believe good governance is important, but at the same time we need to make sure we don’t lose momentum on the operational side. I think there is a real need for pragmatic people who are willing to contribute, coordinate and help move things forward.

Last year I made the decision to gradually wind down my business and transition into crypto full-time. That transition is now well underway, which means I have both the motivation and the availability to dedicate meaningful time to Radix.

Over the past year I’ve become very active within the Radix community, both on Telegram and on X. My goal is to become much more involved in the ecosystem. I’m planning to launch a Radix validator and to start learning Scrypto. Not only because I want to contribute technically over time, but also because I believe that if we want broader adoption, we need more people who can bridge the gap between the technology and the wider community by explaining it in a clear and accessible way. I’d like to become one of those people.

I don’t claim to have all the answers, but I’m comfortable coordinating work, speaking with people, following through on commitments, and helping turn ideas into execution. I believe those skills are just as important as technical expertise, especially during a period of transition like this.

At this stage I wouldn’t expect compensation. First I’d like to understand what the workload actually looks like and prove that I can add value. If I can help the community and the ecosystem succeed, that’s my primary motivation.

If people think someone with a practical business background, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn could be useful within the RAC or any working group, I’d be happy to have that conversation.
