Yeah, that’s pretty spot on to what we are narrowing in to create.
Nicely done!
I’ll post another topic in the Governance channel tonight or tomorrow with a summary of the steps for comment.

Does that mean the LSU are part of an actual transaction? Exchanging them for an NFT you use for voting and returning them after the voting period?
No need, NFT can just carry a proof of ownership, like we do with Badges.
SO a badge + LSU ownership → creates proof → enables NFT Mint → used to vote … if I get this right, just speed reading
Great then. I just wanted to emphasize that ideally no LSU/XRD transactions are involved in the voting process. Otherwise that could cause some taxation issues for some.
I can’t help myself here…
The original post links out to pages on vote. uniswapfoundation .org(forgive me, I can’t link).
This is an Agora deployment – maintained and hosted by my team. We’re the creator of this entire site.
Additionally, we do have forums features, that Uniswap didn’t deploy.
And we’re all familiar with the tempcheck concept.
Plus, w.r.t this:
We’re shipping notifications literally this week for forums, proposals, and grants. We’re posting notifications to slack, telegram, email, discord, and PWAs - and you can send a PR to add your own technology too. A generic REST endpoint is in the works.
Happy to answer any questions!
Well, go ahead then … all we’re missing is the price tag ![]()
I think it’s ok at this phase, as we’re all mostly tired of working on empty/abstract layers that might just become unfeasible because of costs. Please share a number, how much it would cost us to run such a platform using Agora - and don’t give us a ballpark number, pls, we need smtg actionable, that can be considered, imho.
We have been struggling to end an opaque FND with unknown costs and replace it with a DAO/Community-run entity with full transparency. Makes to sense to start operating from the same place as before.
I understand you’ll not be able to give us a formal quote, but if it’s, as merely an example, 1K/month pls don’t tell us its somewhere between $800 and $1.2K , as we’ll always have to assume max given as the cost.
Thanks in advance.
We won’t be able to give you a specific number, without discussing a myriad of options, trade-offs and term length.
Here is a booking link: https://calendar.app.google/E1uGoG1veK8r24bg7 - it’ll work for a single booking this Thursday, which can be forwarded to other members of the community via email, and I’ll post the link here once it’s firmed up.
edit: fixed link.
Thanks!
So, we can use this meet up as a sort of AMA on Agora features … so that wee can have a price point for a possible set of services to be used?
@Peachy @jonericcook et all in here
Anyone willing or you find it premature?
I can make those times - I prefer the early 6am PT - @Peachy how do those times look for you?
6am PST is my 8am CST. That works for me as well.
That’s 2PM for me … unfortunately, this particular Thursday, that’s no can do ![]()
Also it seems there’s no slot available any longer … did you guys already closed on one?
@jefag it looks like there are no more times available. Do you have a different link we can use?
@jefag could you join our main telegram chat so we can coordinate more easily?
The link was single-use, for 1 booking only. Intentionally, to avoid the scenario of multiple people booking different times.
Can I ask @Peachy , to forward the invite to the relevant members via email, and I’ll join the telegram for further coordination from here.
Done. I’ve forwarded it to Jon-Eric
Well, I guess you took that initial slot posted? In that case I won’t be available, as I mentioned, even though I sure was interested.
For any relevant purpose, you can keep in mind that for this context (crypto/radix) I use this email address: theprojectshift@gmail.com
Thanks … and I’ll be interested on what you find out form the meeting, sure would be nice if you could later share it in here if possible.
So is this at 8 am central time tomorrow, or?
yes that is correct ![]()
Is there an invite link?
My apologies for not including you Austin. I only saw your request/interest after the mtg had concluded. I’ll try to be more diligent to include others when there is interest to attend.
Below is my summary of the Agora meeting w/Jeff McLarty + myself and Jon-Eric
https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeff-mclarty-3041706/
Summary:
Their off-the-shelf solution would entail utilizing an existing EVM (e.g ETH) network whereby the account voting weight would be translated to EVM addresses. We’d have to vote on that evm network with an associated evm wallet. Estimated costs would be in mid 5-figures or higher depending (always) on how complex we need our solution to be tailored.
To be a bespoke solution that is built entirely “on Radix” would entail much more engineering and engagement efforts and therefore costs would obviously increase. Low 6-figures or more depending upon how bespoke of a solution we would need.
They are willing, for a marginal cost-of-time requirement, to engage with us in a quasi-consultancy review/suggestion framework that would allow them to provide expert guidance and insight regarding “areas of concern” based on their comprehensive learnings with implementing a number of other governance/DUNA systems.
My opinion:
We should circle back with a 2 months “check-in” call to see where we are at, and determine if a review might be needed before we fully implement our solution.
