Best Locations for Radix DAO

Not sure I follow you. What part do you disagree with? DUNA details or Prospera details?

The DUNA details, and it’s not a disagreement, just that they are not consistent across the various comparisons. But never mind that, no worries.

My argue is about ppl not stopping at an AI output but instead go read up the actual sources and official documents - ‘cause I’m sure someone will eventually come up with excuses because of that.

I’m just wondering why we’d reinvent the wheel. Honduras and similar options sound great too, but other big projects have probably faced the same decision in the past. And there must be a reason why the majority chooses Singapore, Switzerland, and the US. Honduras isn’t on that list. I guess we should just stick to what works and seems to be the best choice.

Just to clarify, on Honduras and the Próspera ZEDE.

It’s a recent thing , from 2024 … and the Honduran gov as been actively legally challenging the ZEDE as it does not fully agree with all its settings.

Latest development was in Dec 2025, where the goc lost yet another appeal in the court … but it hasn’t stopped yet.

It’s unclear what happens to any company built in Próspera should it suddenly the gov win an appeal or challenge.

Plus, despite very well constructed and specific mentions on DAOs and such … it’s also a wrapper.

I’m adding here also a comparison for the ADGM in Abu Dhabi since we’ve been talking more about it lately on telegram. Plus lower you can find a list of crypto projects operating already there.

A big plus for Abu Dhabi, imo, could be if we want to raise another round of funding, similar to what IOTA did. It might be the perfect jurisdiction to do that and use the Hyperscale RS upgrade/Xian, as the selling point.

Plus I’m thinking it could be a good umbrella or anchor point for ecosystem projects to launch new tokens there. We shoudn’t ignore the fact that if we want to have a flourishing ecosystem, we need to create also conditions for these to open shop and operate properly.

Here are the major crypto projects using ADGM, from what i could find fast:

Protocols & Foundations (DLT Licensees)

  • IOTA: The first to register under the new DLT Foundations regime to manage its $100M ecosystem fund.

  • Venom Foundation: Launched a highly scalable Layer-1 blockchain utilizing ADGM’s specific utility token regulations.

  • Solana Foundation: Partnered with ADGM to build out regional Web3 infrastructure and drive blockchain adoption in the Middle East.

  • Animoca Brands: Uses ADGM as a regulated hub for its extensive Web3, gaming, and metaverse investment arm.

**
Exchanges & Stablecoins (Financial Services Licensees)**

  • Binance: Holds a comprehensive global license via three regulated entities in ADGM (Exchange, Clearing House, and Broker-Dealer) to serve institutional and retail clients.

  • Kraken: Operates a fully licensed exchange in ADGM, allowing them to offer direct fiat-to-crypto (AED) trading pairs.

  • Circle (USDC): Secured regulatory approval to operate as a money services provider, integrating USDC into the region’s financial system.

  • Paxos: Licensed as a digital asset custodian and stablecoin issuer (known for PayPal’s stablecoin).

  • Tether (USDT): Received official regulatory recognition in ADGM, allowing licensed institutions to conduct regulated activities with USDT across multiple blockchains.

@Peachy, @Vlad: Could you guys post URLs to any AI sessions so we can see the prompts and continue asking questions in the same AI session?

here you go. This is mine that I’ve used for all DAO location questions and all these screenshots I’ve been taking. I use Gemini 3 Pro.

Wyoming has been progressive in regards to modernizing trusts, new corp types, the DUNA etc. Some states have been following paths to specialize in becoming the operating station for various types of legal arrangements or entities, in part because I think they see an opportunity to do what Delaware did as the hub for incorporation the past many decades. Given this, even if the current DUNA structure isn’t perfect, I do like the idea of being in a state that is already showing attention to this, and in a country where the states are competing with each other to develop the best and most robust frameworks for this type of work. Even if we need to transition from the current WY DUNA within a couple years, hopefully the transfer will be easy to another WY or US State’s framework since it’s staying within a single country but in a competitive landscape of jurisdictions vying for improvements.

I’m in favor of obtaining legal advice on such an important subject but to make sure Panama does not fall out of the conversation, in summary, Panama sounds like it has very few downsides:

  1. Cheap.
  2. Fast.
  3. No KYC.
  4. Zero tax.
  5. Was recommended to me by James Burnie of Gunner Cooke (James Burnie, Financial Services & FinTech Partner at gunnercooke), who didn’t mention any difficulty with obtaining a bank account.

Hey everyone. I have mentioned some time ago that Dan was working with a lawyer who has deep knowledge in DAO and Crypto industries. My suggestion is to have quick consultation with her about DAO. I already contacted her and here is her reply “Yes, I can advise on DAO jurisdiction, legal structure etc.

I will need some clear instructions and information regarding the DAO structure, its governance, its needs (financial and technical) so that I can properly evaluate and advise on the appropriate legal structure and jurisdiction moving forward. “ . Can you contact her to see what her opinion would be?

Since we are no longer a centralized entity it’s incumbent upon each of us in the community to reach out to those we might know professionally to gain awareness of what could potentially be a “best fit” location. Please share the results of those finding publicly if you do.

Thanks!

I already did. I wrote her answer. Next step would be for RAC members to talk with her, to have a meeting. I am sure Foundation can cover her cost

Where did you write her answer?

“Yes, I can advise on DAO jurisdiction, legal structure etc.

I will need some clear instructions and information regarding the DAO structure, its governance, its needs (financial and technical) so that I can properly evaluate and advise on the appropriate legal structure and jurisdiction moving forward. “

I’m a bit late - but have been thinking if El Salvador would be an option for a DAO? Bitcoin legal tender and such.

I have read that Foxy will probably stop his development of Xi’an if we select WY - which cannot be good for the future of the project - but maybe I’m being too worried?

Seems to be a bit longer to setup the DAO as well as having modestly higher initial and ongoing cost structure than some of the other locations we’ve identified.

Thanks for the idea as we need as many as possible before we make a final determination.
