Green light on POC for large financial institution!

We have been tasked by a large financial institution to develop a proof of concept of an interesting use-case using Radix technology. My understanding is they have tried to do this with some other protocols and encountered a number of issues.

I wasn’t expecting any of the conversations I’ve been having with various financial institutions to require any tangible development activity until next year, but, here we are.

There are some elements of complexity to the POC, nothing which our stack can’t support, and some peripheral elements which need to be built. Overall I don’t believe it is difficult, but it isn’t a trivial piece of work either. Requiring a few weeks of development.

This somewhat places me into a conundrum, because I obviously would like to move forward with the POC, but I also need to carve out time to wrap up the Cassandra development for the tests.

Then I had a great idea!

It is something I believe we have ample talent in the community to develop, so I’m calling out for developers to assist me creating it. Additionally, using community developers to produce the POC further highlights the power of the Radix stack!

I will take part in the effort but as a consultancy role so I have the ability to commit some focus for Cassandra. We need a senior developer with expertise with Scrypto and a general understanding of the Radix consensus (Babylon) and general block chain. In addition perhaps two other competent Radix developers for the backend work and perhaps a third for some front end development if the skills are not available across the team.

Foundation will provide some funding for this effort, but you will need to sign an NDA as this is confidential work. They are however, happy for us to use the community for development.

If you are interested in taking part, post some details about yourself, your development experience and how much time per week you could commit.

Hey @fuserleer , I’m Charlie the developer of RadXplorer, the HUG website and some other app on the ecosystem !

I’m up to work on the FE part if needed as described on your message. XRDW / fondation already have info about me (RadXplorer grant).

I’m full stack developer since 8 years and have a really good experience in Typescript, React / NextJS, NodeJS, and basically all WEB / WEB 3 standards (wallets integration, APIs, ect …).

You can find my Github here : Charlie85270 · GitHub

And an example of application I built for Radix : https://www.radxplorer.com/

My commitment time per week is variable as I already have a full time job but I can work at least 15 hours a week on it.

I hope I can join the team that will work on this task.

I successfully passed the Scrypto 101 exam and received a certificate for it.
I have some Scrypto blueprints in my GitHub: nemster (rigel) · GitHub
I have a full time job but I can work on this project a couple of hours per day.

This sounds like something I would be really interested in helping with if my skills fit. I am mostly a Scrypto dev at this point but improving on front end.

I’ve participated on many Scrypto challenges including building a Liquity clone:

I created the ERC-404 standard on Radix with ICE404:

I am the Scrypto dev for the Bobby Project including building the Lootbox blueprints.

and my latest project is an LSU orderbook you can find here currently live on stokenet (WIP)

What’s up Dan,

Sounds like a cool project! I think I could 100% contribute on the Scrypto side of things.

I’m the founder of the ILIS DAO and developer of the STAB Protocol, which form the Stabilis Ecosystem together. See it in action: ilikeitstable.com

The ecosystem makes use of a DAO Framework developed be me, which can be used for any DAO that wants to execute its governance in a trustless manner:

And its main product is a stable asset protocol also developed by me:

To develop these, I’ve had to do quite some digging through the radix-scrypto codebase, so I’ve grown quite familiar to it. I’ve even contributed a tiny bit to the repo.

As for time, I can easily commit around 20 hours a week to making this PoC a reality. I can commit more if there’s need for hurry and the timeframe during which I need to is short enough.

PS, my GitHub:

I’m a full time Radix developer who can probably contribute more time than professional experience. I also took a few of your fags in BCN, so may owe you one.

I’ve made Trove, Soulstore, OpenTrade, Dynamic NFT standards, the unreleased Trove Pro and several other dapps/scrypto projects on Radix. All mainly focused on logic revolving NFTs, but with lots of touch points across the full Scrypto gamut. I’ve made a dapp while in economy on a longhaul flight, so can work in tight spaces.

  • SvelteKit
  • Typescript
  • Tailwind, Shadcn, Bits UI
  • Node js, Hono + Bun
  • Postgres, Firebase, Redis, BullMQ
  • Rust + Scrypto

I’m full time anything Radix at the moment, so if my time is helpful then I’m more than happy to focus on this as part and parcel of my ‘occupation’ and put my time into this.

This sounds very interesting ser!

I’m a full stack developer with over 20 years experience as developer and startup founder. I’m full time working on Radix and as any bootstrapped founder always open to and looking for paid work to extend my runway.

You may know me from Astrolescent, DefiPlaza, HUG, DogeCube, and DeXter. (Did I miss any projects?)

I can code Scrypto, but am also a superb backend and frontend developer and I’m extremely fast in hacking things from 0 to 1.

Hi!
I’m a relatively experienced Scrypto dev:

  • I started in July 2022 in an event in Budapest
  • Participated in 2 Scrypto challenge: DAO (honorable mention) and Stablecoin CDP (2nd place)
  • I also worked on multiple projects: beaker.fi, radishsquare, Morpher Oracle
  • And I also made multiple libraries for scrypto developers: Beaker Tools · GitHub

Hi man,
that sound really interesting, I have a great experience in payment system (tradFi) where I’ve been working for over a decade.
In the Radix ecosystem I got 1st at the latest Scrypto Challenge and have published two dApp you can have a look here:

Source code for that is already in the Radix repo.

I’ve not a lot of spare time but I am very passionated in this DLT so I would gladly contribute what I can, designing, coding or reviewing

What an incredible lineup of talented developers we have here! While I may not yet be on par with all these amazing devs, I’ll leave my CV here for consideration—perhaps for future projects once I’ve gained more experience with the Radix ecosystem.

I’m a senior web developer (both by experience and, unfortunately, years :sob:), with a career that started back in 2000. Over the years, I’ve navigated the full spectrum of web technologies, from the early days of PHP to more specialized platforms like SAP BSP and UI5. Full-stack development has been my focus from the beginning. I simply love buidling.

In recent years, I’ve been deep in React, Next.js, and similar modern frameworks. While I’ve been aware of Radix since 2020, I only started my development journey with it about a month ago. When it comes to the Radix stack, I’d humbly classify myself as a junior, but I’m a quick learner and can commit full-time if needed.

Additionally, I bring a strong educational foundation, holding an MBA in International Asset Management, which might be helpful in certain contexts.

I’d be happy to contribute in any way I can!

Hey @fuserleer

What a great idea to let this being build by the community. Hereby, I would like to apply for the frontend developer position.

I have 20 years of experience in Software Projects and re-started coding with RadixCharts about 2.5 years ago. Mainly working with Next.js / React and several UI frameworks, plus integrating the RadixDappToolkit of course.

Besides the frontend work I can offer a Gateway Service and custom APIs (on already existing infrastructure) for this POC if required. I also have great Project Management skills and work very structured.

Other references within Radix:

  • RadixAPI: full frontend development, RDT and API endpoints (founder)
  • SingularityX: adding the NFT buying function with RDT (supporting for free)
  • Radix Shardz: full frontend development, RDT (hired dev)

I am currently full time on Radix, with some ongoing work, but I can prioritise this and offer up to 40 hours a week.

It is difficult to prove confidentiality, as I cannot name any references of course, but my liability and professional way of working can be confirmed by several people at RDX works.

Would be honoured to be part of this!

Hi,
Throwing my hat in the ring as well.

Projects that I’ve contributed and released:

RNS Foundation / XRD Domains: (xrd.domains)

  • Raised 3mil XRD via domain sales
  • Single handedly wrote scrypto components as well as contributed to RNS SDK
  • Auction system and claim system
  • Created and tested an upgradable component architecture

RadLock (RadLock.io)

  • Raised Radix TVL near the $2m~ and 122mil XRD~ range respectively barring price volatility
  • Locking & vesting service for Radix
  • Wrote the scrypto and frontend integration of gateway APIs

Selfi Social (selfi.social)

  • A fun and social way to super charge your X (Twitter) feeds
  • Used by 200+ users to date
  • Allows Radix transactions via chrome extension
  • Solana Blink style product that focuses on integrations rather than embeddable dapps

I have also been providing tooling and contributions outside of the generic ecosystem:

Outside of this, I have been working full-time in financial services for the last 8 years in the UK. Currently working as a Fullstack Developer. Most experience is in tradfi CFDs/Spreadbet/FIX APIs as well as payment systems (think Stripe). All of the above was done in my own time.

Language Preferences/Skills:

  • Rust
  • TypeScript (nodejs/bunjs/frontend)
  • Kotlin (Backend)
  • Terraform (AWS)
  • Gitlab CI/CD

I can currently dedicate 1 day / 8 Hours a week every Friday and could offer more depending on urgency.

Gonna keep it short. If the POC is related to RWA and tokenization, then it’s something that we’ve probably bumped into while developing Foton and we have in the team quite some experience with.

While busy still with our platforms’ launch, we’re open to give some input if the duty calls  - both scrypto and ui/ux side.

Is this progressing? Don’t need details, just a “yep, still progressing” would be fine
