I guess most users today are more confident in small protocols run by trusted members (Ilis DAO, Liquify) than on Root Finance.

I would go for version 3 in that Telegram post.
Make a season 2 copy paste to season 1 but smaller rewards. We need to keep liquidity in the ecosystem to function.
Do we really need to pay for external liquidity? Couldn’t we use the existing treasury?
I agree with this.
In particular, that “the DAO should operate like a serious business”.
I won’t attempt to explain this any further here, but the opportunity costs of not doing so are incalculable.
Here is an example:-
Trust Everything Everywhere – Program
We’re accepting applications for funding within our £50m Scaling Trust programme. The programme’s goal is to create the capability for AI agents to securely coordinate, negotiate, and verify with one another on our behalf. To kickstart Phase 1 of this programme, we are seeking to fund teams to develop open-source coordination infrastructure and perform fundamental research that moves us from empirical to theory-driven guarantees in agentic coordination.

I think the main point about this sort of thing is that capable teams are needed.
The hope is that becoming a DAO, after huge upheaval, will show the resilience and resolve of people to make more expansive, upwards, moves, instead of being stuck in the infrastructure and its ecosystem.
