I’d like to put myself forward as a candidate for the permanent Radix RAC.
Over the past few years I’ve tried to help the ecosystem in a variety of ways, from building Astrolescent and Defiplaza, supporting ecosystem projects wherever I could, and stepping up as Hyperscale lead when the community needed it most. I believe it’s time to stand up once more to bring Radix into this new chapter.
Before the election, there are a few things I’d like to share.
Building the right team
My own strengths are in technology, community building, and public speaking. I also know where I’m less effective, and I think the RAC will be strongest if we actively involve people with complementary skills.
For example, there are a number of areas where additional expertise would be valuable, and I’d like to suggest a few potential contributors (I hope they won’t mind):
-
Business development (Tadis and/or Deniz?)
-
Fundraising (Gary?)
-
Marketing and communications (Conor?)
-
Governance and compliance (Daffy?)
-
Treasury and accounting
If you have experience in one of these areas and want to help the ecosystem, even if I didn’t mention you (my apologies), please step forward. The more expertise we can bring together, the better.
Community support
For the RAC to succeed, it needs the support of the community.
Disagreement is healthy. Challenging ideas is healthy. Holding the RAC accountable is healthy. But harassment, personal attacks, or telling volunteers to resign or worse is not.
The members of the RAC are part of this community too. They are volunteering because they want Radix to succeed. We should challenge decisions where needed, but also create an environment where people can actually do the work in a safe and respectful way.
Time commitment
The RAC is currently a volunteer role.
I’m no longer working full-time in the Radix ecosystem, and like many others I have professional commitments outside of it. That means I’ll be contributing in my own time. If the ecosystem grows to the point where full-time positions become possible, I would love to take on a larger role, but we also need to be realistic what is currently possible.
Looking ahead
I believe Radix has an opportunity to build something unique with this new form of community governance.
More broadly, I think Radix is well positioned to play a meaningful role in the convergence of AI and crypto. As AI agents become capable of owning assets, coordinating with one another, and making autonomous decisions, they’ll need infrastructure that is secure, predictable, and scalable. Radix’s Transaction Manifest and native asset model provide a strong technological foundation for exactly those kinds of interactions.
If elected, my goal is simple: to contribute in the same pragmatic, transparent, and collaborative way that you’ve come to know me over the past few years.
Thank you for your consideration.
