regarding the low fees, is it by updating to the full node or perhaps competing node? I read somewhere a top 100 validator is building a C# based node implementation.

Currently transaction costs are hard coded.
The cost model for smart contacts hasn’t been shared yet, so we don’t exactly know what the equivalent of ‘gas costs’ looks like on Radix.
Furthermore, there is no mechanism to bid for capacity should capacity become constraint. I know Matt has no warm feelings for auctioning off network capacity. Which I feel is still the best way to deal with congestion if it arises.
The team hopes that there won’t be congestion between Babylon and Xian…
