The X prefix for currency codes is used for “supranational” currencies - that is a currency that is not linked to a specific country. It is also used for things that are treated like currencies - like gold (XAU), silver (XAG). The use of XRD is actually a smart decision if (when) Radix becomes the currency of DeFi.
